Day 1: Arrival at Delhi
Arrive at the Delhi International Airport and meet our tour representative. Transfer to the hotel. Today if you have time in the afternoon you can explore the attractions of Old Delhi. It houses the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the old market Chandi Chowk designed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his daughter. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed towards Rajghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Pay homage at this memorial. Then visit the India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar Lotus Temple and other major monuments. If you are an art freak pay a visit the National Gallery. In the evening go on a shopping spree. Then stay overnight.
Day 3: Delhi– Jaipur
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur-the mesmerizing pink city of Rajasthan. Check in at the hotel on arrival and take rest. In the afternoon visit the Amber Fort, one of must see Rajput forts. In the evening you would be taken to an ethnic resort where you can enjoy the folk dance and music. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur
Jaipur is a city with lots of attractions. Roaming in and around the city you can have lost of fun to see the royal memorabilia of the Jaipur kings. The major attractions you would visit today are Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal. If you are a shopaholic, explore the markets and pick up stuffs. After a Rajasthani dining, stay overnight in the pink city.
Day 5: Jaipur -Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
In the early morning drive to Agra. On the way drive visit the deserted Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri. Then continue drive to Agra and on arrival take the hotel. In the late afternoon visit the exquisite Taj Mahal and other attractions such as Tomb of Emperor Akbar and Baby Taj. Also visit the Agra Fort, the major capital hub of the Mughals. Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 6 : Agra - Orcha (via Jhansi)
Today in the early morning take a super fast train to Jhansi. On arrival drive to the historical temple town Orcha. Take a hotel. Then in the afternoon visit the temples of Orcha mainly the Jahangiri Mahal and the Raja Mahal. Explore the Laxminarayan Temple and other temples ruins of the city. Overnight stay at Orcha.
Day 7: Orcha - Khajuraho
On the 7th day of Taj Mahal and Khajuraho architecture tour, drive early morning to Khajuraho. On arrival take a hotel.
Khajuraho is known worldwide for its Medieval Hindu and Jain erotic sculptures of the Temples. It is a World Heritage Site. The sculpture and erotic carvings depict the life of the gods and goddesses. Visit the great Kandariya Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Explore the erotic carvings of the temple. Then you tour the three Hindu Temples of Khajuraho known as Brahman, Vamana and Javari. Visit the Jain Temples of Khajuraho.
Day 8: Khajuraho -Delhi (Flight)
Take the flight to Delhi and then your onward flight back home. Fly back memorizing the memorabilia of the tour. Your Taj Mahal and Khajuraho tour ends here.
