Day 1: Arrival at Delhi
Your Taj and Shimla tour begins as you land at the Delhi International Airport. On arrival meet our tour representative. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
Morning after breakfast set out your sightseeing in Delhi. The tour starts with your visit to New Delhi. The must see attractions are India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Modern gallery of Art among various others. Drive past the Rastrapati Bhawan, Parliament House. Post lunch, continue your visit to Old Delhi. See here the largest mosque in India, Jama Masjid, the giant building Red Fort. Stroll around the roads of Chandi Chowk Market. In the evening you can enjoy the light and sound show at Red Fort which dramatically forecasts the history of Delhi. After dinner, stay overnight.
Day 3: Delhi-Agra (206 kms/ 4 Hr)
Our tour representative would drive you to Agra. It is a city of beauty as it houses the most beautiful monument of the world made for a passionate love story. It would take around two hours to explore Taj Majal. Besides Taj Mahal it has Agra Fort and Baby Taj Mahal. The markets are lively and have various handicrafts. Today in the evening visit Taj Mahal. First explore its structural beauty and feel the romance. You will get the chance to savor a lip-smacking Mughlai dish.
Day 4: Agra-Delhi- Shimla
In the early morning check out the hotel. Then drive back to Delhi and on reaching again proceed towards Shimla. It would take around 8 hours to reach Shimla. On arrival take the hotel.
Day 5: Shimla
Everywhere you see beauty in Shimla. It is an awfully beautiful hill station. The main hub is busy always. It has a unique charm. Start your sightseeing visiting first the Mall Road to see the old colonial buildings, souvenir shops and eateries. Then reach the Jakhoo Hill, the highest point to see the superb views of Shimla city. There are lots more to explore in Shimla. Our tour guide will take you to some of the beautiful destinations. Day 6 : Shimla -Chandigarh (120 kms/ 2.5 Hr)
Have breakfast at the hotel. Then drive to Chandigarh, the first planned city of India after independence. The architect who designed this city is Le Corbusier. On arrival in the city check in at a hotel to relax. In the evening come out to visit the Sukhna Lake, an artificial lake located at the foothills of the Himalayas. Enjoy the serene beauty of the location. You can have fun of water sports here. Embark on a boat cruise. Halt at the hotel.
Day 7: Chandigarh- Delhi-Departure
You must visit the Rock Garden made by an outside artist Nek Chand. It is made of waste materials. Next visit the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden. It is the largest Rose Garden in Asia which has a wide variety of roses. Then continue drive to Delhi and on arrival transfer to the hotel. Your Taj Mahal and Shimla tour ends here.
