Inside Taj Mahal
You might have seen the movie, “Bucket List” where the two protagonists visit Taj Mahal as one of the dreams to be fulfilled before kicking the bucket. Here in this movie you can have a clear view of the inner part of Taj. The inside of the Taj Mahal is a mystery for the visitors until they enter into it. As one steps on inside the main gateway of Taj, the monument seems like a magical structure. The inside is as gorgeous and spectacular as outside. Shah Jahan built it as a public shrine, so he wanted that the inside must have an impressive look.
The art works and carvings inside Taj are exquisite. Precious stones and inlay work adorn the walls. The central chamber of the building is located under the main dome. The four rooms are flanked by four octagonal rooms. A total of 16 rooms surround the central chamber.
The interior has more precious carvings and decoration. A marble jali screen that surrounding the graves and the inlay work on its borders are a part of medieval architecture. The crypts decorated with semi-precious stones and gems have inscriptions from the holy book Qu’ran.
